National Park Paklenica

Karst river canyons are located on the southern part of the largest Croatian mountain Velebit massif, from the highest peaks to the immediate coast of the sea. Canyons Mala (Small) and Velika (Big) Paklenica are distanced 100 km north from Tribunj.

National Park Paklenica is frequently visited by active tourists who can go on 14km long path  in the valley of the Velika Paklenica. Canyon of Mala Paklenica is drained trough of the river flow. In the canyon of Velika Paklenica is the highest vertical rock wall in Croatia - Anića Kuk high 712 m, which is very popular among climbers. It is one of 400 other possibilities of various degrees of difficulty for mountain climbing. One part of the National Park Paklenica is also the highest mountain of Velebit, Vaganjski vrh with a height of 1757 m.
